This page contains a collection of photographs about railways; most were taken by me, though a few were provided by others. Each picture is provided with its own descriptive page, pointing out the main features to be seen. The pages include "next" and "previous" links to allow the entire collection to be browsed; these are not necessarily in any logical order, but just show the order in which they were added to the gallery.
Note that the "thumbnails" do not necessarily show the entire image, just a significant extract from it.
the control room by the entrance (227kb) | a disused running tunnel and reversing siding (202kb) | one of the new platforms (204kb) |
Stansted to Whittlesford (262kb) | Cambridge station (384kb) | North Cambridge (289kb) | Ely area (209kb) |
There are also two pictures of historic versions of the Underground diagram, dating from 1937 (394kb) and 1951 (283kb). These do not yet have their own descriptive pages.
On 10th August 2003 a group of people went on a tour of Wood Lane. My photos from this are on a separate page. |
